Celebrating 10+ years of #DoTheDaniel
There comes a time in everyone’s life that you need something nice to wear. Whether it’s simply for church on Sunday, a Mother’s Day brunch, a playdate where you want to impress, or celebrating a half-birthday. This is where, Aisabobo, Canada’s new luxury clothing brand for boys and girls aged 3 to 7 comes in.
If there’s one thing Lyric can do completely independently, it’s make a mess. With being a 4 year old boy, it’s not only expected but at times I revel in it. It’s a joy to watch his imagination take over and see what he creates. But what comes along with messes? Yep, cleaning it all up. Now that part, I don’t enjoy so much! We recently received a box FULL of fun crafts and activities to do, and because Green Works thinks of everything, all the necessary products to clean up the mess! So, I may not be a “new” mom, but I’m definitely a mom who is new to having a 4-year-old-spring-time-kindergartener! I had NO idea he could get this dirty! No, but really! When Lyric was younger, I (like most new moms) bathed my lil baby every day. He was just so perfect and new and I didn’t want to mess him up! As he got older, he developed very dry skin, and would scratch himself while he slept until he would cut himself. Now, I’ve learned that bathing your child (or yourself for that matter) every day isn’t the greatest for your skin. So I backed off, started bathing him every other day, or every 3 days. When he started school I noticed he would definitely be a little sweatier than normal, but now that the weather is nice, he comes home just DIRTY! Those recesses spent in the sand, rolling in the grass, practicing his “dance moves” or just running around has him needing to get clean more often.
About two week ago, the Ottawa based DoTheDaniel team got the news that we’d been invited to the Governor General Performing Arts Awards! At first I thought, “WOO HOO!”, and literally the next second was.. “What am I going to wear?!”. After a momentary panic, I instantly thought of Le Chateau! I know both, Daniel and Julio have been styled by Le Chateau for a few events in the past, which meant it’s Fashionights approved, and I knew there’d be a great selection.
