A Band You Just Might Wanna Watch Out For

Ottawa based Synth-Pop Rock band and MTV Featured Artists, “The Beautiful Ghosts” have just released their self-titled fourth album. The cover art is a simple black background, with bold white letters and broken glass surrounding it. Containing themes of Sci-Fi , space, love, and empowerment, I really enjoy these unique topics with heavy Sci-Fi vibes – because it’s not something that’s really seen much in Pop music these days.

Sunshine and Lakes and Wine – Oh My!

Dear British Columbia, you and I have this thing going on. I’m not sure where it’s headed or if our love affair will ever end. But, I can tell you that the time we’ve spent together so far has been magical. I have this hunch that, deep down inside, you feel the same way about me and that you love when I come to visit you. You always seem to put on a full show with your majestic mountains, oceans, lakes, vast wilderness, hippy vibes, great wine and food.

Out To Sea on an Iconic Photography Cruise

I freakin’ love being near the water. So, when I moved back to Toronto, I made sure that I could live as close as humanly possible to the beach. And I’ve officially achieved that goal by living in the last house on the street before the boardwalk begins. (Insert jokes about my apartment flooding here). But in all seriousness, actually being out on the water and connected with nature is next level – and something that I crave on a regular basis.

But, Why Would I Stay at an Airport Hotel?

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words “airport hotel”? Usually, I think: boring, corporate, nothing around, noisy, and just plain ew. It always seemed to me like they’re just a popular destination for those who are travelling for business or who are only looking for something convenient while they spend one night in a city. Well, I made a pretty lame assumption, and figured that out quite quickly, when I travelled to Vancouver and stayed at a hotel right by the airport! Spoiler alert, I actually loved it.
