Urban Gardening 101

The month of June has arrived, and with it the beautiful sunny weather. For many Canadians, we are all sighing with relief after a neverending winter. Though we sort of jumped over the spring, it is a time of rejuvenation and blooming – pun intended. As someone who is always running around, I like to try and find simple things that make me happy. Gardening has been one of those outlets that allow me to disconnect for some time to reconnect with myself. Gardening is accessible for everyone with the right weather; all you need is a few gardening products from Botanex, including watering cans, and you’re good to do! Gardening is a good de-stressor and can have your yard looking stunning. With the advances in products tailored to the “Urban Gardener” now available at Lee Valley Tools in Canada, I was excited to partner with them to share some of my tips for creating your own green space. Un Momento Reflexivo Sobre Las Mejores Decisiones De Mi Vida

Me encuentro sentado cómodamente en una silla Acapulco, al lado de la piscina en un bonito hotel del hermoso Pueblo Mágico conocido como Tulum, en Quintana Roo, a solo 40 minutos de Playa del Carmen. Los 30º de temperatura de la Riviera Maya despiertan mi necesidad de refrescarme y no decido si hacerlo destapando una cerveza o saltando a la piscina y como no me dan ganas de tomar decisiones tan difíciles, opto por ambas, una seguida de la otra. La vida es eso que pasa mientras tomas decisiones cuando en muchas ocasiones no es necesario hacerlo sino simplemente saber organizarse. Después del chapuzón, regreso a la silla para planear con María si nos vamos a la playa o a comer, o de nuevo, buscar la forma en que ambas actividades se combinen. Menos de 30 segundos han pasado y ya decidimos irnos a comer a la playa. Es el 29 de abril de 2018 y mientras nos preparamos tengo un momento reflexivo sobre las mejores decisiones de mi vida y me han llevado a escribir estas líneas. No, It’s Not a Dirty Word

For those of you who follow us, you’ll have seen that a few month ago Catherine & I visited North Medical Spa to experience some of their incredible treatments first hand. While Catherine will bring you more BTS about her HydraFacial and why she can’t stop talking about it, I wanted to go in a different direction with this post.

Many friends will already know, but I opted to get botox for the first time ever. Before you start jumping to conclusions (like I know I used to when I heard that word) I wanted to take a minute to dispel some myths about this hot button topic, and to tell you why I will continue with treatments now that I have had a first hand experience supported by medical professionals and fact.
