¿Recuerdas esos días en los que los teléfonos móviles no eran parte de nuestra vida? Probablemente no. Tal vez seas de una generación en la que prácticamente naciste con un teléfono en la mano y quizá te sorprendas de saber que antes la gente compraba cámaras fotográficas con rollo de película para tomar fotos y si eso no es suficiente para asombrarte, imagina que antes para comunicarte con tu crush (ni se les llamaba crush) tenías que llamar al teléfono de su casa y vivir el terror indescriptible de que te contestara su papá o el hermano celoso. Antes, la sociedad salía a los restaurantes a comer, no a hacer sesiones fotográficas para subirlas a Instagram (historia real). ¿GPS? ¡Por favor! Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is one of those books that means so much to me. I remember my mom giving it to me when I graduated from Carleton University. It was a touching gesture and still reminds me of that moment when I stood facing the possibilities that were ahead of me. I could never have known what the future held for me, but that book was a pretty good start. Flash forward ten years later, and here I am sharing my life with you all from a blog that I have turned into a career. Looking back on 2017, I have certainly seen many places and experienced many things with you all around the world. 4 ways to stay organized when traveling
2017 has proven to be the year of adventure for us at #DoTheDaniel. From Halifax to Vancouver, San Francisco to Maine, and so many more beautiful destinations. The world is an amazing place to explore, but getting ready for travel isn’t always easy. Before every trip I typically make a list of tips I use to stay organized leading up to and while I travel. With an exciting trip to Paris to look forward to with Julio for our anniversary, these tips can help keep me in check!
Take Pride in How Far You’ve Come
It’s been quite an amazing year, and although some might believe otherwise, I like to take pride in how far we’ve come over the years from our early beginnings. I still remember starting off all those years ago with Catherine and a handful of important people. #DoTheDaniel was very different back then, but we have always been a fan of enjoying special moments together. We still manage to make each other laugh until we cry, and so I thought I’d share another special memory we recently shared together.
