Events | Pride by Design Cabaret & Fashion-Art Auction

With World Pride launching officially today, the city of Toronto is abuzz with the energy and support of the LGBT community on an international scale. I am very lucky to live in a country where I can be a proud gay man who can legally marry Julio and start a family. Pride occurs on a yearly basis in cities around the world, but to be hosting World Pride truly makes it so that all eyes are on us to show what Pride, Love and Equality mean. With major World Pride Toronto events happening now until June 29th, there is so much to do and so much to see. One of the biggest evenings I am most looking forward to is The Pride by Design Cabaret & Fashion-Art Auction taking place on June 25th at Shangri-La Hotel Toronto (one of my favs in the city as most of you will remember from #iheartbosk!). Let me tell you why you should get your tickets today to come join me! Continue reading “Events | Pride by Design Cabaret & Fashion-Art Auction”

Events | Garden Days in celebration of Canada’s National Garden Day

After my recent volunteering with TELUS for Telus Giving Day (see my #givewherewelive post here) where I had the opportunity to get my hands dirty in the garden, my green thumb has been itching for more. So much so, that I’ve planted hanging tomato plants on our condo patio and have been sprouting my own herbs. While we don’t have grass, I have had a look at Composite Timber Decking or something similar to make the outside space more inviting. I’ve even been looking at adding some garden furniture, like these quality adirondack chairs, so I can spend more time outside. For those of you like me, the tranquility of gardening is one that is hard to explain. It not only helps the environment but also adds something quite unique to your space. So that’s why I am excited to tell you all about Garden Days taking place June 13 – June 15th this year across Canada. Events | The Power Plant presents Power Ball: Old / New World

I always look forward to events that I attend for DoTheDaniel.com, and the following is by far one of the biggest of the social calendar year. Yes, that’s right. It’s almost time for The Power Plant‘s very own Power Ball! This year’s theme for the most anticipated art party is all about Old / New World and I cannot wait to attend with like minded supporters of the arts to benefit The Power Plant’s exhibits and public programs. Every year marks an inspiring and engaging event that is like no other in its grandeur and artistic expression. Continue reading “Events | The Power Plant presents Power Ball: Old / New World”
