Events | The Power Plant presents Power Ball: Old / New World

I always look forward to events that I attend for DoTheDaniel.com, and the following is by far one of the biggest of the social calendar year. Yes, that’s right. It’s almost time for The Power Plant‘s very own Power Ball! This year’s theme for the most anticipated art party is all about Old / New World and I cannot wait to attend with like minded supporters of the arts to benefit The Power Plant’s exhibits and public programs. Every year marks an inspiring and engaging event that is like no other in its grandeur and artistic expression.

On June 5th 2014, the largest and most diverse group of people will all descend to the iconic Power Plant for an evening of socializing, benefiting a cause that is near to my heart. Supporting the arts and the artistic community is quintessential in an age where the appreciation for it has slightly dwindled. Events such as this one and the recent Love Art Fair Toronto are helping to show me and all artists in Toronto, Canada and the world that there is a still a profound and unspoken respect for their work.

As you will see on the information page for the upcoming event, “Experience an art party celebrating a revolutionary moment in time. Power Ball: Old / New World will lead you on a journey that sets analogue and digital technology on a collision course in art performances and installations that will shatter convention and transport party-goers to a brand new world – all to support programming at The Power Plant.”

It might sound slightly odd to someone who may never have attended a Power Ball, but let me assure you, you have never experienced an event like this one. The expansive space and stimulating art exhibits and artists truly create a sense of wonder and awe throughout the night. Not to mention the list of celebrities and who’s who that you will surely see in support of a cause that we all love.

Setting the standard as the most influential, vibrant and original contemporary art party since its inception in 1999, Power Ball has grown to become the gallery’s largest annual fundraiser, attracting a crowd 1,500 guests including artists, fashionistas, celebrities, and financers from creative industries.”

Participating artist for the evening include but are not limited to B.Y.O.B, CONFETTISYSTEM, Christine Davis, Naomi Kashiwagi, Jon Rafman and Oli Sorenson.

This is an event that you positively will fall in love with and will be speaking of for weeks to come. So please come help Julio, Catherine & I support @ThePowerPlantTo for #PowerBallTO by buying your tickets here. We can’t wait to see you there and join in on what is sure to be a night we won’t forget.
