Ready. Set. Switch!

It should come as no shock that (in large part thanks to Julio) I have rediscovered my love of Nintendo. In fact, it’s not just Nintendo that I have rediscovered my love for, as I would go as far as saying that it extends to the whole gaming industry and the games that I used to play as a child and young adult. I was pleased to see that my skills were still up to scratch with what they used to be, so it’s good to know that I’m still at the top of my game. The only difference from when I used to play the popular game of Elder Scrolls Online is that you can now use something like this eso best builds guide to help you create a character that can help you to battle your enemies in ultra-quick time. I love guides like this, and I hope there are some others for Nintendo that I can get my teeth stuck into to give me a headstart.

You know, at 33 years old, I still get just as excited to cross the finish line on Mario Kart in first place as I did at 15. 2017 is going to be an amazing year for Nintendo with the upcoming launch of #NintendoSwitch, the latest system that is changing the way we look at gaming altogether. We’ve got all the exciting details for you and will even have a chance to share our first hand experience before it launches in Canada! Continue reading “Ready. Set. Switch!”

Food & Drink | We share how easy it is to make it a #ProntoNight with Barilla Canada

It’s no surprise that we love Barilla Canada and have enjoyed cooking with their quality products over the years time and time again (click here to see what I mean.) I know that I personally cook all the time and am quite familiar with pasta dish making. The true test of how easy Barilla Pronto is to use would come when I sent Julio to the special #ProntoNight event on our behalf to see if he was comfortable using the newest pasta to create a dish of his own. He loved how easy it was to create a beautiful Latin inspired pasta with chorizo, beans and olives all in just ten minutes. So much so that I find him wanting to create new #ProntoNight pasta creations all the time now! I liken it to getting the kids involved in the kitchen to learn and develop a love for cooking – no offense hunny. Food & Drink | Thanksgiving is great, but Friendsgiving is better!

I think as I’ve gotten older, I have come to appreciate that time at home with friends is more important than I once thought. There is something so relaxing about gathering together a few friends over a delicious home cooked meal, some good wine, and much needed laughs. I was reminded of just that when I sat down with friends and colleagues at Antler Kitchen & Bar to enjoy a delicious meal created by Chef Michael Hunter paired with four of the nine new wines that are hitting shelves just in time for the fall at your local LCBO. So much so, that I am planning my very own ‘Friendsgiving’ before the Thanksgiving season begins. Come and see what we will be eating & drinking, all inspired by the new #LCBOtastelocal fall mantra: Live. Love. Taste Local.  Continue reading “Food & Drink | Thanksgiving is great, but Friendsgiving is better!”
