A New Way Of Seeing Things

I woke up this morning and had a bit of an epiphany about my career as a blogger. Over the years, especially as a small business owner, I’ve had to often follow my instincts or guess when it comes to major decisions.

With little to no guidance, and being that I’m an emotional person, in doing so this process led me to make some mistakes. From reactionary tweets (we’ve all been there), to knee jerk reactions to feel as though I’d been wronged, I think we all understand that it is when we make mistakes that we learn the most about ourselves.

But amid the current reality we all live, maybe it’s time to accept that the past is behind us, and it’s time to move forward with a new sense of compassion and understanding. That’s how I’m trying to see the world and be with myself, my family, and the blog.

Ten Photos You Won’t Believe are #NoFilter

I am so happy that Catherine recently traveled to Portugal for us. Having been on her bucket list for years, we were lucky enough to be invited by the tourism boards of The Azores & Madeira to visit for ten days. Luckily for us, we also received a Huawei P20 from Huawei Mobile Canada in advance of her trip. The challenge for Catherine was to take photos of her trip only using the leica camera on the device and not edit them in any way. Are you ready to have your mind blown? Don’t Fear Change

Remember those days when mobile phones were not part of our lives? We used to buy cameras to capture special moments and wait for days to see them. I can’t even think of how many times my palms sweat when calling my crush in turn, fearing for her dad to pick up the phone! I’m proud to say I come from a generation that actually knew how to read maps (printed maps) when traveling, and food, food was meant to be eaten, not “grammed.” Continue reading “Don’t Fear Change”
