Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is one of those books that means so much to me. I remember my mom giving it to me when I graduated from Carleton University. It was a touching gesture and still reminds me of that moment when I stood facing the possibilities that were ahead of me. I could never have known what the future held for me, but that book was a pretty good start. Flash forward ten years later, and here I am sharing my life with you all from a blog that I have turned into a career. Looking back on 2017, I have certainly seen many places and experienced many things with you all around the world. Vivir en un destino de playa tan popular como Playa del Carmen, está rodeado de mitos. Muchos creen que los que habitamos esta hermosa tierra conocida como el Corazón de la Riviera Maya, en el Caribe Mexicano, de playas de arena blanca y aguas color turquesa, vivimos en un estado de “vacaciones permanentes”, pues para nosotros es normal visitar la playa o lugares exóticos cualquier domingo. Pero no todo es miel sobre hojuelas; vivir en un destino internacional implica que el costo de vida o de las opciones para divertirse suelen ser más elevados que en otras ciudades, por lo que salir a divertirse puede resultar complicado para los locales… a menos, claro, que aprendas a turistear como local.

Durante años creí que el día nunca llegaría pero.. ¡sucedió! Hace unos días celebré mi boda con mi hermosa María, el amor de mi vida, con quien entendí el verdadero significado del amor, la complicidad, del trabajo en equipo y la entrega total. Hoy puedo decir que ¡Casarse es una de las mejores experiencias que uno puede vivir!
