I can’t believe that it’s already September! So my fashion loving heart is in a complete spiral of emotions as I witness the release of so many amazing collections from so many different brands this season! Although so many amazing collections are going to be hitting the stores between now and the end of September, one collection I am particularly excited about is the release of this seasons H&M F/W 17 Studio Collection.
For those of you are unfamiliar with the bi-annual collection releases, it’s a higher end line of amazing pieces that tend to be a little different from what H&M releases in their regular year round lines. “Different how?”, you may ask. Well this collection incorporates more natural materials and unique silhouettes to deliver fashion that is a little more street style and androgynous.
The collection typically features a lot of black pieces, however this season we are seeing bright pops of colour in men’s line (which for a colour enthusiast like myself is definitely not a problem) and bold unique neutrals from the women’s line. So whether you’re the type of person who likes to live by an all black wardrobe or the type that embraces the mixing and matching with other tones, this collection is one to watch out for!
Another thing in particular that I love about the H&M Studio Collection, which is apparent in many I have experienced in the past, is the detail in creating an engineered garment. These pieces not only look like a high fashion collection, but they are just as functional as they are stylish. For example, in this collection you’ll find pieces that can be layered to add additional warmth, provide more storage, or add that extra design detail that your outfit needed! The collection is available in stores and online as of September 14th – so be sure to check it out if you’re looking to add some quality fashionable pieces to your wardrobe without making your credit card hate you by the end of the day!
