The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the busiest times of year for us at #DoTheDaniel. From screenings to celebrity interviews, we do our best to bring you BTS in real time to the best of the best. First up, I wanted to showcase #EssentialsLounge8 and what it is like to feel like a celebrity when Hollywood comes to town! Year after year, we always look forward to attending the EGPR Essentials Lounge which is in fact tailored towards the media attending the TIFF festivities.
This was in fact one of my first experiences at TIFF when we launched years ago alongside Julio. I felt so honoured to be among the select few to join the Essentials Lounge invitees four years ago, and this year was no different. So what does it entail? Every year, during the craziness of coverage and a 24/7 schedule, the team at EGPR gather us together to showcase brand partners in an interactive and enjoyable way. We essentially are pampered and given the opportunity to unwind for a few hours.
This year brought together Dior Beauty, Michael Kors, Tweezerman, L’Oréal Paris, Keds, Skinceuticals, Tuck Shop Trading Co., Green & Black’s, Winks Eyelash Boutique & Toben. From Catherine getting her manicure for a busy night, to learning about the new Dior lip colour that we saw on the red carpets around the city, and so much more! It was an experience that I consider one of the best events of the TIFF season for 2017 and one that I hope will continue to happen over the years. Albeit that next year our TIFF coverage evolves to include more of the team, I know that no matter who attends on behalf of #DoTheDaniel, they will feel pampered and loved more than they realize. This is a one of a kind experience during a once-a-year event!
