For those of you who aren’t aware, I am probably one of the most competitive people ever when it comes to games. I don’t know when it started really, but for as long as I can remember, this is how I’ve been. So when our friends at Ford Canada asked Julio & I to join for #TheHunt, I knew that it was going to be a lot of fun. A scavenger hunt around Toronto, using the brand new SYNC 3 technology in some of the most beautiful vehicles we have yet to drive…. I was ready to take on the challenge!
So what is SYNC 3 technology all about? We learned about the updates to the technology before teaming up with fellow media for our scavenger hunt. “SYNC® 6 lets you use your voice to make a call, listen to music, and much more. Voice-activated SYNC®technology also helps you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.”
What’s new in SYNC 3? Enhanced voice recognition – so easy that even a parrot can do it. Literally. See for yourself https://t.co/9FSa6aNvBB

To start off a day of adventure and friendly competition, we met at Rock Lobster Leslieville (1192 Queen Street East) for some delicious lunch and an intimate introduction to the day that team Ford Canada had planned for us. We had an introduction to the vehicles we would be driving (our team was lucky enough to drive the beautiful 2016 Escape in ‘Electric Spice’ the newest colour to hit the market. As seen above, it’s absolutely stunning and was so much fun to drive!
Did I also mention that our car was the media lead car, which meant that it was hooked up with GoPros to capture the entire day’s worth of hunting. Take a look at the video below to see the final product of this amazing day and filming our reaction using SYNC 3 to find items around the city of Toronto.
From having to find items that start with “F” “O” “R” & “D”, to some of Toronto’s most iconic landmarks, the day was full of laughing and SO much fun. Each item on our master to-do list was associated with points like in a traditional scavenger hunt. The whole point was to get the most amount of points while using SYNC 3 technology. From changing the climate in the car, to finding the closest Italian restaurant…
Yes. That is me stuffing my clothes full of balls to carry them through an obstacle course… I told you I was competitive!

Did I also mention that there were video components involved? Such as singing the national anthem with a stranger and singing along to Spotify Playlists using SYNC 3? Basically, it was the best day ever with friends and Ford Canada

Ending the day off at Big Crow for some well deserved food and drinks, we got the chance to laugh and share in our adventures with our fellow media.
