Travel & Lifestyle | Traveling just got a lot easier thanks to CIBC

Sponsored by CIBC

As someone who loves to travel, I can empathize with the fact that getting ready for a trip can cause a lot of stress. From bathing suit shopping to organizing someone to watch Canela, I am always on the lookout for a way to make the pre-travel prep a little easier for Julio and I. Thanks to CIBC, getting ready for upcoming travel this year just got a whole lot easier with their newly launched CIBC Foreign Cash Online™ program. We’ll be using it for an upcoming trip down south that we desperately need and I have all the ways you can do the same today!

By now you’ve come to love Percy the Penguin and the adorable commercials that CIBC has created to showcase the versatility and convenience they now offer their clients. This is one of my favourites:

As the newest program launched by CIBC, what does the new CIBC Foreign Cash Online™ program entail?

“It lets you order cash for up to 75 foreign currencies representing more than 90 currencies, online 24/7 and within 2-3 business days. Your money can be delivered almost anywhere in Canada directly to your home for free*, or you can pick it up at any CIBC branch or at Toronto Pearson International Airport (T1 International Departures) post security.”

I believe the manner in how it works is a kind of forex trade system like those explained on Asiaforexmentor.com. You put money in and you get a different kind of money out. Though CIBC is definitely aimed more towards people traveling to other countries for the occasional business meeting or holiday.

The thing is that ordering foreign currency is something that a lot of people don’t even think about. Unfortunately, we end up having to get currency while traveling when we arrive – which can lead to hefty bank fees and bad exchange rates. CIBC though uses their forex knowledge to get better exchange rates plus the added bonus of convenience. Using the new service, I can pre-order currency for our upcoming travel around the world and have it delivered right to my door, my nearest CIBC branch or even have it waiting at YYZ for me. How amazing is that?!

With the winter months settling in across the country and March Break around the corner, chances are most of us are dreaming of vacations and planning them right now. I know that I’m in the process of looking for a beach to lounge on with Julio towards the end of the month. Thanks to CIBC, I’ll be able to check off one thing from my to do list pre-trip. After using the new CIBC Foreign Cash Online™, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back!

I think one of the best parts of the program is that if you’re not a CIBC client, anyone can also take advantage of this new program. In my opinion, this is a leading move in the banking industry and helps to show how CIBC wants to help Canadians from coast to coast with their travel needs. Non-clients can also access the service at CIBC Foreign Cash Online™.
