Did you know that the Pantone Institute colour of the year for 2017, is Greenery? Did you know that there is only one mobile phone on the market in this colour? And that would be the Huawei P10. Which also comes in Dazzling Blue, Mystic Silver, Graphite Black and Prestige Gold. Did you know that both Dazzling Blue and Greenery have been featuring prominently on the catwalk and that you can style your clothes and phone together?
I knew none of these things, so in a slightly different move, I took a break from travel and was lucky enough to attend an event last week to celebrate the launch of the two new colours to this range – Greenery and Dazzling Blue. Those of you who follow along on the Do The Daniel Insta stories would have seen that this was a collab with Wah Nails in Soho, London.
There was a lot going on at this event! And I loved it. First up, a welcome blue or green smoothie to sip whilst I chose my nail colour and design. It was a hard choice as they were all so cool. I chose Dazzling Blue with a few feature nails with polka dots. The salon in Soho is really cool and is perfectly set up for functions, with the important nail business happening downstairs and the entertaining business upstairs. Wah is well known in London as one of the best places to get your nails done. It’s a real treat to get a gel manicure from the fabulous Jane.
Once I have some kick-ass nails, I head upstairs to learn more about these fabulous phones. The Greenery, as I have mentioned above is one of the newest colours to the P10 range. This phone is seriously cool and is quite the contender on the smart phone market. It features a Leica camera both in the front and rear facing mode and a great app and program to work with your photos once they are taken, as well as being a light and slim phone that will easily fit in a pocket or handbag. What more could a fashionista or a photographer want?
The Dazzling Blue also has all of these amazing features as well the finish being diamond cut, so it is virtually scratch resistant. For this event, there were tips on how to style your phone with your look, showing looks from Victoria Beckham and Gucci and how they can match these fabulous colours, showing that this mobile is truly fashion forward.
I must admit that it was hard to leave these awesome phones behind, I had a great time learning all about the cool features on this phone as well as learning about how to style them. I left the salon with some fabulous nails and a new found appreciation for both Huawei and Wah. What a brilliant collab for two awesome products. These phones with their awesome cameras and their optional diamond cut finish are perfect for travelling, they will up my travel selfie game, as well as being scratch resistant, as travel can be tough on a phone. As well as, my new gel nails being perfect for travelling as my nails often break and the polish chips – seriously how does this happen on a plane, I am sitting still! I am pleased to report that after a trip to Berlin these nails are still going strong.
