Last night we had the chance to join an exclusive group of media influencers and bloggers at the launch event for the latest addition to the Cineplex VIP Cinema family. Cineplex VIP Cinemas Don Mills located in Toronto (12 Marie Labatte Road to be exact) is the first of its kind for Cineplex and from the moment we walked through the doors we could tell why. Now, please don’t get me wrong. I love my family time and children are something beautiful in life. But when I want to go on a romantic evening with the one I love or have a great night out with friends, the last thing I want is a crying baby or the Nineteen Kids and Counting cast to sit beside me while I munch on my popcorn and try to enjoy a movie.
The entire space is VIP 19+ and with a rooftop patio, a beautiful lounge and probably the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in in a movie theatre, you generally feel more relaxed and taken care of . Opening to the public on Friday August 15, this new location is a bit away from the city core, but well worth the commute. We had the opportunity to enjoy the latest additions to the delicious menu served in the cocktail lounge, got to order menu items to our seat from an iPad carrying server at our beck and call… not to mention the several cocktails we consumed throughout the night. Everything from start to finish has been designed with us in mind to make own very own #CineplexVIP one we will truly love.
I have to say that this was, by far, the best experience I have ever had with Cineplex for a night out with friends and the one I love. Be it the brand new electric reclining chairs that lift your feet at the push of a button, to the fact that the middle armrest can lift for a cuddle, this new VIP location epitomizes the one-stop-date-night shop. Or if you’re not in the mood for a romantic night for two, it offers a great night out with the besties to nibble, enjoy a movie and then gab over some great cocktails.
In my opinion, the next time you’re in the neighbourhood I recommend you head over to the brand new Cineplex VIP Cinemas at Don Mills to try it for yourself.
