Family Lifestyle | Styled by FASHIONIGHTS

If there’s one thing I will freely admit, it’s that I have a shopping problem. I just can’t resist clothes for Lyric! They’re all soo cute and small and fun and now, stylish! I know all you moms-of-boys are out there thinking, “ya, cute and stylish stuff for GIRLS.”. Boys’ clothes has come a LONG way, and I’m finding more and more ways to create style out of Lyric’s wardrobe. Seeing as there are so many ways of styling all over printed shirts, I have actually enjoyed seeing what I could pair my kids’ clothes with. It wasn’t as hard as I initially thought, but that what’s fun about fashion. Now, if there’s something else about me, it’s that I like a good deal, you will always find me in the clearance section first! I currently have bins of clothes for Lyric up to size 10 (he’s 3), no joke. HAHA! I told you.. it’s a problem! One of my FAVOURITE stores to shop for him is, hands down, H&M. Their clothes are extremely reasonably priced and CRAZY stylish! I have been known to drive hours just to shop at H&M! (hallelujah we FINALLY got one here in Ottawa!)

Travel | #TasteNiagara Day 2 AND 3 in Niagara Falls, New York

What an incredible experience this has all been. As I woke from a deep sleep (inspired by a crazy busy Day 2 of  Niagara USA #TasteNiagara) at the lovely Sheraton at the Falls, I looked around the room at my collection of Cave of the Winds sandals (yes you get to keep them!) and multi coloured ponchos from various adventures in Niagara Falls, New York. What an incredible two days this has been.. a whirlwind of laughter, food, wine & new friends. If you haven’t seen my Day 1 adventures (and troubles) yet, make sure to check it out here before you continue. I’d say that my first press trip for DoTheDaniel.com has been a success and that if you didn’t see my #DoTheDanielUSA hashtag one SOME fort of social media then I didn’t do my job whilst here. But seriously, if you haven’t, check out the hashtag to see all my adventures and some fun behind the scenes…

As Day 2 drew to a close there was still no Catherine, No Amanda, No Julio. But now I have made so many new friends and I am still laughing at all of our experiences together. Thanks to our friends at  Niagara USA & their amazing #TasteNiagara tour, I am ending this weekend a richer person for the experiences and people I have met. Let me tell you how Niagara Falls, USA has got the magical ability to create one of a kind memories for you too! Continue reading “Travel | #TasteNiagara Day 2 AND 3 in Niagara Falls, New York”

Travel | #TasteNiagara Day 1 in Niagara Falls, New York

As my Friday evening winds down and I log onto the wifi at the hotel, I am smiling thinking about the whirlwind day I just had. For the first time, DoTheDaniel.com is attending a press trip. Not only that, but I am flying solo while attending! No Catherine, No Amanda, No Julio. It’s a strange feeling when I think about it really… but such an exciting one at the same time. So while it is all still fresh in my mind, let me tell you about first day with my friends at Niagara USA and why you should come visit too! Family Lifestyle | Icy Pole

When I was 15 I had an incredible opportunity to perform (dance) in China during their International Children’s Festival. I was able to meet kids from all over the world, and I distinctly remember having a lot of talks with some sweet Australian girls about what they have/don’t have/names for treats. Oh, and making them say “Fosters, Australian for beer” over and over again! haha! I’m not sure why it’s stuck with me, but every time I think of a popsicle, I think “icy pole”, I suppose it’s quite literal!
