Holiday Magic Is Believing

As a HUGE holiday person, I am usually the most excited of all of my friends when it comes time to get into the spirit of the season. Be it putting up my tree first, or starting the holiday shopping and wrapping (my favourite part of the whole season if I’m being honest is the wrapping. I’m quite good at it!), it makes me so happy to spread the holiday magic with those I love most. So when my friends at Walmart Canada asked me to join in on the excitement of the #TrackTeddy campaign to coincide with their recent commercial, I jumped at the chance! While making my list, and checking it twice, I got to thinking about what items from Walmart Canada I will be picking up this holiday season and I wanted to share them with you all.

For the Love of Last-Minute Shopping

The countdown is on and there are only a few weeks left until the big day! Let’s get real, I don’t want to repeat the same scramble of last year trying desperately to figure out what to get and coming up a little short. But The Real Question Is, Are You Team Pikachu or Team Eevee?

You’ll remember that in early November, I told you about my favourite holiday memories and how they might surprise you. Shortly afterwards, I was lucky enough to be able to attend one of our favourite holiday events. Thanks to our friends at Nintendo Canada, we joined in on the #NintendoHoliday excitement here in Toronto and got to try all the highly anticipated new games. Turns out, I still love Pokémon and Mario Kart as much as I did years ago, and so now that my new Nintendo Switch is on the way, I wanted to share a bit more about what the holidays mean to me and why I love that I’m still a kid at heart at thirty-five.   Continue reading “But The Real Question Is, Are You Team Pikachu or Team Eevee?”

Where To Find Me This Black Friday

It’s that time of year again – the holiday bargain hunting has begun and as I prepare myself for the excitement of shopping for the ones I love, I am also being mindful of the fact that I am on a budget. In the past, I was never a believer in Black Friday. It didn’t appeal to me and for the most part the only time I realized it was happening was when I would watch the news after getting home from work. You could say that I’ve grown wiser in my old age (I’m thirty five going on sixty it feels some days!) and now know that this incredible day is an opportunity to shop for the ones I love and myself while saving an amazing amount of money. It will also be how I kick start my holiday cheer and plan to put up my Christmas tree this weekend after shopping till I drop. So where will you find me this year you ask? The only place to be for holiday shopping of course with 350 stores ready to put me in the spirit! Continue reading “Where To Find Me This Black Friday”
