I’ve never really been a “New Year’s Eve” kind of person. Although there are some fantastic parties and events taking place from coast to coast, I am usually the person who would rather enjoy a beautiful meal with friends and family. Thankfully for those of us who will be in Toronto during the Holiday Season, my friends at Luckee by Susur Lee have created a one-of-a-kind NYE experience that is sure to impress. Come & check out how you can join in the celebration at this Toronto hot spot!
For those of you who remember, I had the opportunity for a Daniel’s Dish visit to this much talked about restaurant in 2014. To mark the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, Luckee will be playing host to some pretty fantastic foodie pleasures.
“Chef Lee has crafted special dishes to make your New Year a memorable one. Featuring French black truffles, the Ocean’s Best Assorted Dim Sum Platter (6 pc at $32) is the perfect start to your New Year party. If you’re not a dim sum fan, then try the Chicken Cheung Fun (8 pc for $28), which features the classic rice roll with tofu, mushroom, black truffle and soya juice.
The delectable Fat Choy Fanny Bay Fresh Oyster Clay Pot ($32) is a steaming pot of braised winter melon, black moss, pork belly and French black truffle. TheCantonese Style Drunken Lobster ($48) with superior champagne sauce and French black truffle is also a holiday must-try. Specials also include the Crispy Taro Croquette and Monk Mountain Vegetable and Braised Tofu ($24).
The restaurant will be open on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, December 31, 2014) from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1, 2015) from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Luckee’s special menu for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are available in addition to the regular dinner and brunch (January 1) offerings. The bar will also be open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.”
