Here’s a Few Gift Ideas For That Person Who’s a Bit Difficult to Shop For

Now I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I’m not exactly the easiest person to shop for. Not because I’m picky, but I just much prefer the act of giving gifts than that of receiving them. I’ve kind of always been like this actually, even when I was a little boy. As I’ve gotten older I’ll make note of things that I find interesting, different and a little bit quirky for those who ask me what I want as a gift. I thought I would share a few of those things with you should you have someone who is a bit difficult to shop for this year too!

I’m always a fan of playful gift ideas that make the person receiving them – in this instance, moi – feel like you know who they are and what they like. I’m not the biggest “here’s a gift card” generic gift kind of guy. I want to know that the gift made you think of me, or better yet, was something that I mentioned once in passing. Hint hint Julio ?

First up, we all know how much I LOVE wine and exploring new wines that I’ve never tried before.

Something like Gargoyle Wine Club (which I’ve not signed up for yet) which has launched its first brick-and-mortar – Praise Bottle Shop. Located at the corner of Bloor and Shaw (828 Bloor St West). Praise joins Gargoyle as part of the Drink Better Initiative in collaboration with Water.org, where every bottle of wine purchased gives one person in need access to a full year of clean, safe water.  Wine subscriptions that give back? Sign me up!

Speaking on cool and fun gift ideas, I’ve recently found out that Gene Simmons launched a vodka and the novelty is not lost on me. The award-winning vodka is distilled in Niagara Falls, ON with 100% organic Canadian wheat and barley, and is filtered five times through real gold, giving the spirit depth a smooth, clean taste.

MoneyBag Vodka is really versatile and can be enjoyed on its own or in crafted cocktails. If interested, we’d be happy to provide you with a recipe from a head bartender at one of the venues that carry the vodka, such as Hotel X, Dasha and Baro. This is one of those gift ideas where I need one for the shelf and one to sip one for sure.
