Not Just Another Party

Saturday nights in Toronto are always a lot of fun. There are options to enjoy amazing experiences, dance the night away with friends, and share those Instagram moments all night long. But what if you could have an amazing night out and make a difference in the lives of young Canadians who need your help?

On April 13th, 2019, 400 + guests will be in attendance of the inaugural Mask Off Gala, the leading charity event in mental health. The guest list will include Toronto’s corporate, fashion and fitness communities as well as Toronto’s top social media influencers and social elite. Named the premier fundraising event for Sunnybrook Hospital supporting the youth mental health program, “Fresh Start”, Mask Off Gala is the most anticipated event of the year in the health and wellness community.

Initially a patient herself at 15-years-old, Jaclyn recognizes the vital support “Fresh Start” offered her during her formative years. It is now her mission to spread awareness around addiction and mental health, while helping other young adults and adolescents by giving them the resources they need to combat mental illness.

All proceeds from the event will allow the program to help even more young people struggling with mental health in our community by constructing additional classrooms at Sunnybrook within the Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Centre. With the support of Mask Off Gala, Fresh Start will be able to provide treatment for thousands of adolescents battling with mental health issues that interfere with their ability to function in their daily life.

I am a HUGE believer that charity events are some of the best ways to spread important messages like this one. It’s why I am so excited to attend the event and share the news along with friends. Make sure to follow along with me all night long at one of the best events in the city – for one of the best reasons.

The Mask Off Gala is a black tie, cocktail-style affair featuring an open bar, DJ, dancing, late night eats, photographer portrait lounge, live performances & photography by renowned society photographer, Ryan Emberley. Music will be helmed by DJ, Alex Tribe, known for his eclectic style expertly combining house, pop, and hip-hop. Banga studios will be hosting the creative photobooth for guests, and Fashion Illustrator Sarah Symons will be doing live illustrations for attendees. To say it’s going to be an epic night with epic moments would be an understatement. So make sure if you can’t join, to help spread the message and support such an amazing cause.

Of course for those of you looking to give back above and beyond not just another party, make sure to check out the Mask Off Gala Website. Make sure to join in on the social media conversation by following @MaskOffGala on Instagram and use the #MaskOffGala and #TheBerkeleyChurch hashtags.
