Baby Steps In The Right Direction

Had you asked me in 2007 when I graduated from University where I thought I would be at 35, I would have told you working for one of the biggest talent agents in Canada representing Canadian artists. That or being Catherine’s manager on her sold out world tour as my favourite vocalist. Thankfully life kept Catherine & I together, but the universe had other plans for me when it came to my career path. Over the last eleven years, I have held a lot of different jobs. Being an entrepreneur is amazing and I love it, but it doesn’t always offer the financial stability that a “9-5” does, and so it’s why this year I’ve really started to take my finances more seriously. From purchasing life insurance (see that post here), to saving for a baby, I really want to make the steps I need towards the things I want most in life. An Homage To The Journey

The days are getting shorter, and the weather is slowly getting colder. So when Catherine & I had the pleasure of previewing the new Globe Trotter collection by Marcel Wanders, inspired by travel and journeys around the world, it really spoke to me. Life is a beautiful journey, and my house should be a reflection of that and so much more. Continue reading “An Homage To The Journey”

It’s Not Too Late To Make It Happen

It’s a chilly weekend in October and while I bundle up at the office, knowing full well it’s only going to get colder over the next few months, my mind is on travel and destinations I have yet to explore in this world. While the majority of Canadians will be looking to head south (as you should), I am more of the mind that I want to break that habit and go somewhere new. There has been a lot of new in my life this year, and a lot of change. So why would I not take the opportunity to book my first solo trip for myself to a destination that I’ve never considered? It’s not too late to make it happen, and you already know we love exploring destinations with Air Canada!  Continue reading “It’s Not Too Late To Make It Happen”

A Space To Call Your Office

I’m currently writing this in bed, propped up by a few pillows with a heating pad on my lower back and some essential oils diffusing. #Spoonielife as a true millennial, I do a lot of work on my laptop or my phone every day – I’m studying scripts, answering emails, translating copy, answering emails, writing essays/scripts/blog posts/short stories and then usually answering some more emails. I do most of this work in bed and though it can be really lovely and cozy, I have to admit it’s not always the most productive.
