2020: The Year You Deserve The Best

As we inch our way towards the end of January and all things 2020 start to play out, I find myself really giving some thought to what I want to accomplish this year both professionally and personally. When it comes to the blog, I am excited for new brand partnerships coming to you all very soon that compliment who I am and what I love.

Personally, I am excited to work towards paying down and off some debt we have while we build our savings and work towards children. And more importantly to putting in the effort that marriage takes. Date nights, thoughtful gestures and remembering the things that matter most of all.

Let’s Talk Plant Based

While 2020 certainly hasn’t had a quiet start both for me personally and around the world, I find myself sitting down to organize my biggest year yet here at Do The Daniel. From partnerships to travel more with Julio before we embark down the path to having children, to thinking more eco-consciously, it’s important for me to use my platform to share messages of positivity and change.

Having recently attended an event with Yves Veggie Cuisine, I think it’s important for me to share some of the knowledge I was able to take away from the event and the experience. Not in preachy “I’m vegan and you should be too” because no one needs me shoving my ideas down their throat – but more so because I was inspired by a brand that has been changing the world for thirty five years.

My Lunar New Year Must Have Items – 恭喜发财

I remember the first time I heard a friend wish me 恭喜发财 (gōng xǐ fā cái) – and I came to learn about the lunar new year, I fell in love with the traditions. A rough translation meaning “Wishing you wealth and prosperity” (both of wish I could use more of in 2020) I thought that to celebrate I would share some beautiful lunar new year items that I am hoping to add to my life this year from brands Julio & I love.
