2020: The Year You Deserve The Best

As we inch our way towards the end of January and all things 2020 start to play out, I find myself really giving some thought to what I want to accomplish this year both professionally and personally. When it comes to the blog, I am excited for new brand partnerships coming to you all very soon that compliment who I am and what I love.

Personally, I am excited to work towards paying down and off some debt we have while we build our savings and work towards children. And more importantly to putting in the effort that marriage takes. Date nights, thoughtful gestures and remembering the things that matter most of all.

Speaking of date nights, recently I came across Aburi Hana and their unparalleled dining experience in the city of Toronto and immediately knew I had to get a date night in with Julio there ASAP. Friends have gone and raved about the experience, so I thought I would tell you a bit more about it before we do in hopes of inspiring your next date night.

A merger of tradition and innovation, the experience speaks to a one of a kind night with my husband that I have no doubt will go down as one of my favourite meals of the year. And let’s remember that I don’t use that word often.

” Connecting Tradition and Innovation
理念:伝統と革新の融合

Kyō-Kaiseki is a traditional Kyōto-style course menu steeped in history and ritual. Chef Nakagawa’s modern interpretation embodies and elevates the tradition to create a distinctively contemporary experience. Starting with a foundation of the finest Japanese ingredients from the land and sea, he incorporates local produce to reflect the changing seasons. Using both modern and ancient gastronomy techniques, Chef Nakagawa aims to introduce new flavours and textures to each guest.”

“Guests can choose to dine at Aburi Hana’s engaging Chef’s Counter or in one of five Kakurega private dining rooms. With Chef’s Counter seatings fully reserved on opening night, guests are encouraged to book in advance. In addition to selecting their preferred menu, guests have the option of enhancing their experience with carefully designed pairings or exploring a curated list of beverage options, which include exclusive wines and sakes, some of which have been procured from auction.”

From the decor to the tasting menus, I cannot wait to get a chance to see what this new staple in the Toronto food scene has created as a culinary experience for my husband and I. Make sure to make your reservations since this will be the hot spot in town starting today, I have no doubt!
