Family Lifestyle | Muffymade

One of the things I really love is having something that no one else does! Ever since I was little, I always loved having custom made (by my mom) clothes, one of a kind bags, or a unique piece of art. Now that I’m an adult, and a mom, I love it even more! I’ve always looked for pieces for Lyric that I know someone else won’t have. Whether it’s making curtains from sheets, custom blankets, or buying his clothes from independent sellers on etsy, I love knowing that he won’t match the crowd. He was definitely born to stand out! I came across muffymade, and instantly fell in love with the concept! Completely custom items!

Family Lifestyle | YTV Beach Bash!

When I think of the words “beach bash”, I think of an awesome summer party by the water with good music and great friends. Well, that’s exactly what YTV provided when they hosted their first YTV Beach Bash just a few weeks ago! Located at Canada’s Sugar Beach, an urban beach oasis at the foot of Jarvis Street on Toronto’s waterfront next to Corus Quay and the home of YTV, was the perfect place to gather for THE outdoor family concert of the season! Family Lifestyle | Styled by FASHIONIGHTS

If there’s one thing I will freely admit, it’s that I have a shopping problem. I just can’t resist clothes for Lyric! They’re all soo cute and small and fun and now, stylish! I know all you moms-of-boys are out there thinking, “ya, cute and stylish stuff for GIRLS.”. Boys’ clothes has come a LONG way, and I’m finding more and more ways to create style out of Lyric’s wardrobe. Seeing as there are so many ways of styling all over printed shirts, I have actually enjoyed seeing what I could pair my kids’ clothes with. It wasn’t as hard as I initially thought, but that what’s fun about fashion. Now, if there’s something else about me, it’s that I like a good deal, you will always find me in the clearance section first! I currently have bins of clothes for Lyric up to size 10 (he’s 3), no joke. HAHA! I told you.. it’s a problem! One of my FAVOURITE stores to shop for him is, hands down, H&M. Their clothes are extremely reasonably priced and CRAZY stylish! I have been known to drive hours just to shop at H&M! (hallelujah we FINALLY got one here in Ottawa!)

Family Lifestyle | Icy Pole

When I was 15 I had an incredible opportunity to perform (dance) in China during their International Children’s Festival. I was able to meet kids from all over the world, and I distinctly remember having a lot of talks with some sweet Australian girls about what they have/don’t have/names for treats. Oh, and making them say “Fosters, Australian for beer” over and over again! haha! I’m not sure why it’s stuck with me, but every time I think of a popsicle, I think “icy pole”, I suppose it’s quite literal!
