A Recipe For Success

I have come to not only love fashion over the years, but really appreciate it and it’s importance. Whether it’s my choice to support more ethical brands or finding a collaboration that speaks to my personal style, each item in my closet is a reflection of who I am today and who I want to be tomorrow. A few weeks ago I found out about the artistic and socially conscious LACOSTE x KEITH HARING collection from Lacoste and I fell in love with the idea of fashion and art coming together in a recipe for success. So it only made sense that I tell you all about it so you too can find inspiration this spring and all year long!

When You Wish Upon A Star

Well hello hello my friends. I hope that you’re all staying warm and enjoying the fact that Spring is (almost) right around the corner. Although I love a picturesque Canadian winter, I can say that I’m personally coming to the end of this year’s admiration of the colder weather.

With a new season around the corner, it’s also time to start thinking of new items for my wardrobe. While I have never claimed to be a fashionista, I am very lucky to have become a fan of collaborations and brands that speak to me and my busy life. Moments That Make Me Smile

Following on our adventures via Instagram – specifically Instagram stories – is a really good way to see how busy we are but also how much fun we have doing what we do best. At the end of the day, building #DoTheDaniel has taken me five years of blood, sweat and tears. But amid all of those things, there has been so much more laughter, love & life. This past weekend I had the pleasure of heading home to Montreal with BELVEDERE, and it was one of my favourite experiences of the year. A quick in-and-out that allowed me the opportunity to connect with incredible people, eat some incredible food, dance like no one was watching, and laugh more than I have in a very long time. There is something to be said about experiences and moments like that, even if they are brief, and I’m happy for the chance to share it with you all. Continue reading “Moments That Make Me Smile”

Taking The Time To Appreciate Classic Style

It’s Thursday afternoon and I just got back to the office. This week seems to be flying by while simultaneously taking an eternity for me. Life and work have been busy, which is a good place to be, but I find myself feeling a little stressed. So when I was offered the chance to sit down with iconic American designer Todd Snyder to talk about his collaboration with Timex, I honestly didn’t know if I had the time. Thankfully I made it, because I left that interview feeling so inspired about working hard, dedication, and staying true to the things that I love. The watch business is something many people feel passionate about, with many young people now taking part in businesses such as Watch Trading Academy in order to start their own watch trading. It’s a business that takes effort and determination, but can give major rewards to those who deserve it. Todd’s story and concept behind collaborating with one of the world’s most famous time piece brands left me feeling like anything can happen if you work hard enough at it – and so it’s back to work for me before I jet off to the cocktail party he is hosting tonight in Toronto!
