Why we could all use a little refresh

I like to think that the winter months define us as Canadians. However, in light of those cold nights and lack of sunshine, I also know that we all could use a little refresh right about now. Hola from Playa del Carmen!

Hi there, neighbours! Greetings from the Mexican paradise called Playa Del Carmen! My name is Jose Antonio, but only for official matters – you can call me Pepe (sound’s like pepper without the r). I was born and raised in the mighty, chaotic, crazy, legendary Mexico City. I have lived all around the world in my life but always end up near home – I recently invested in Playa Del Carmen real estate and have been spending pretty much all my time in this little slice of paradise! I’ve always loved Playa Del Carmen, something about it always called to me. Ever since I was a little boy, I have felt passionate about 2 things: music, and the sea.

Combining two of my favourite things for one epic message

So now that the #Canada150 excitement has started and Canadians are already well into an amazing year of celebrations, I wanted to take a minute to share something really important that President’s Choice reminded me of recently. I like to think that I live a balanced life, or at least I try, but even I am guilty of not giving my family the time they deserve. How you can make a difference this #HeartMonth

DYK that February is #HeartMonth? This year makes the month extra special for me because I lost my Dad to a heart attack. Now, more than ever, I have come to realize the importance of being heathier and happier. While my family went through an incredibly difficult time, we also understood the importance of giving to a good cause. Instead of flowers or gifts of condolence, we asked our friends and family to make a donation in my Dad’s name to Heart & Stroke. When I heard that this incredible foundation collaborated with iconic Canadian brand Roots Canada to help spread an important message, I knew that it was important to share it with you all.
