The World’s Largest Audiobook Library — From A to Z(ed)

In September, when Daniel went to Montreal to help launch Audible in Canada, I was so excited that Canadians were going to also be able to enjoy the magic of this wonderful tool, that I was lucky enough to experience with Audible.com in the US. If you’re not familiar with Audible, it’s a platform linked to Amazon.ca that offers the world’s largest audiobook library right at your fingertips! It not only features bestsellers from around the word, but it also has an growing catalogue of books written and narrated by Canadians. Let’s not forget that they have an expanding collection of French-language titles to select from as well!!

Now that I’ve moved back to Toronto, I have a laundry list of things to do and subscriptions to update. First on the list is my membership to Audible.ca! If you’re as busy as I am, and always on the go (pun intended cause I now take the GO Train regularly) or you’re stuck in traffic, it’s sometimes hard to find time to bring a book with you. Audible.ca makes that super easy.

Here are my TOP 5 listens for the new year!

1) YOU ARE A BADASS, written and narrated by Jen Sincero

“Sincero brings a fun, feminine verve to now well-tread self-help tropes… The tone is far more feisty than academic, and there’s humor on every page, all of which is exactly what her intended audience most needs.” (Publishers Weekly)

2) TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN, written by John Green, narrated by Kate Rudd

This novel is about lifelong friendship, the intimacy of an unexpected reunion. At its heart, its about a young woman navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

3) THE LAST BLACK UNICORN, written and narrated by Tiffany Haddish

From stand-up comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish comes The Last Black Unicorn, a hilarious, edgy, and heart-wrenching collection of autobiographical essays that will leave you laughing through tears.

4) A WRINKLE IN TIME, written by Madeleine L’Engle, narrated by Hope Davis

YES! A beloved Children’s Book, and soon to be movie starting Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon, this novel is a classic fantasy story that follows a 13 year old girl and her adventure finding her dad.

5) THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR, written by Shari Lapena, narrated by Kristen Potter

A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors – a twisty roller-coaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives.

Can’t wait to hear what you’re enjoying with Audible.ca! Enjoy!
