#TIFF16 | Sipping on Sterling Vineyards during this year’s film festival

The Toronto International Film Festival has officially arrived, and with it comes our annual TIFF coverage. Over the next ten days we will be bringing you behind the scenes to some of the hottest parties, celebrity sightings, screenings and events. This year, I am excited to share that Sterling Vineyards will be the exclusive wine sponsor for the 41st annual Toronto International Film Festival. As one of our favourite wines to enjoy at home, it will be nice to indulge in a glass at some of the best events of the season. Come see which wines I am most looking forward to enjoying!

“To celebrate the second time Sterling Wines is chosen to provide wines for TIFF, the most attended film festival in the world, we will be pouring wines from our Vintner’s Collection tier at all TIFF-proprietary events. We invite you to “Make it a Sterling Night” and sip like the star you are.”

???????????????????

Sterling Vintner’s Collection 2014 Merlot

As my favourite varietal of red wine, I think the 2014 Merlot is a perfect glass of wine to enjoy after a film this TIFF season. Fruity and complex, I like to think that it is the red wine that will change your mind if you don’t think you like red wine. “Luscious and smooth from front to back, the palate is structured by moderate tannins and wraps up with a dark chocolate finish.” Hands down my favourite wine of the TIFF season!

Sterling Vintner’s Collection 2014 Chardonnay

There’s something to be said about a classic. Chardonnay is a white wine that reminds me of dinner with friends and decadent food. The 2014 Chardonnay helps to encapsulate the TIFF spirit with it’s bold flavours and ability to make everyone smile. “Clean, ripe citrus flavours extend the finish and add a refreshing lift to the rich fruit.” Chances are if you see Julio & I out and about this TIFF season, he will have a glass of this delicious Chardonnay in hand!

Sterling Vinter’s Collection 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

If you are a red wine lover, chances are you enjoy a glass or two of Cabernet Sauvignon as your go-to red varietal. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon offers an elevated expression of this quintessential red and will be sure to please film lovers and film stars alike this TIFF season. ” Fine chocolaty tannins hold the finish, which is long and luxurious.” If there is any time of year to indulge in the luxury of life that wine can offer, it is #TIFF

Sterling Vintner’s Collection 2014 Sauvignon Blanc

Sipping Sauvignon Blanc always reminds me of warm summer nights and romantic evenings in. With the weather set to be warm over the next ten days for TIFF, it would only make sense to serve a refreshing glass of white such as this one to wine lovers descending on Toronto. “The finish is long and crisp, with a pop of lime zest” If you’re in the mood for a conversation starter to discuss the latest screening you attended, this is the wine to do it over.
