I like to believe that I live a connected life, and with the latest devices from Samsung Canada it has become an extension of who I am (see what I mean with the #GalaxyS7edge and #GearFit2). After recently having the chance to sit down and see the NEW Galaxy Note7 with Catherine, my mind is blown by the advancements made by Samsung Canada to help Canadians live a #GALAXYLIFE. I am lucky enough to work with the team at Samsung Canada to get sneak peeks at the newest devices coming to Canada before they officially launch. So when Catherine and I had the top secret opportunity to try out the new #GalaxyNote7 before it launched in Canada earlier this week, I was excited to see what Samsung had in store for us all. I’m still in awe of the latest device that is now available for pre-order and am once again assured that Samsung Canada is the best of the best. It’s just that simple.

So what are some of my favourite aspects of the new phone that have me so excited?
Security is very important for us all – no one likes the feeling of having their personal or professional information being compromised. The new Samsung Galaxy Note7 “understands the importance of keeping content on users’ phone protected. Coupled with Samsung Knox, an industry-leading security platform, the Galaxy Note7 provides heightened security and privacy, with highly advanced biometric authentication, including fingerprint scanner and iris scanning technology.”
This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve experienced with a Samsung mobile device to date. After it scans your iris, all you need to do is look at your phone to unlock it and get to what you were doing. It’s fast, it’s incredibly secure, and it’s a wow factor that I am still talking about weeks after experiencing it first hand!

Having been introduced to the ability to have my phone survive those “oops” moments with my #GalaxyS7edge, this is still mind boggling that the new Galaxy Note7 can withstand being submerged in water and continue to work like nothing happened. We’ve all experienced that terrifying moment with previous mobile devices when they fell in the sink (or toilet) or had rain get into it while running around… it was game over. But not anymore! Samsung has completely gotten rid of that worry with the new Note7.
The S Pen has gotten a complete rework and now is like a magic want in my opinion! “Users can bring ideas to life the moment inspiration strikes without unlocking the screen by using Screen off memo and simply pinning the memo to the Always On Display. The S Pen also gives users the ability to easily create and share GIF animations with Smart Select. In addition, the new Air Command functions, including Magnify and Translate, enable users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen. It is even easier to access the best of the S Pen’s creative abilities with Samsung Notes, a new unified app allowing users to jot down handwritten notes, draw, or edit memos from one location.”
I think what amazed me the most is that using the S Pen you can now screen-grab and capture VIDEO! Yes. Video. You can select what you would like to capture and save it to your phone or share it on social media and I had my mind blown because it helped me realize how easily I’ll be able to save and share video content both personally and professionally!
Whether you’re out catching Pokémon or checking on your Clash of Clans village (I’m sure there are other games out there, but those are the two that Julio and I play regularly), the NEW super charged Vulkan API enhances your gaming experience to a whole new level.
