If you’re like me, you have beauty products that you love and have used for many years. Most of mine have fond memories associated with them because, after all, I am a hopeless romantic. One of these is Aveda Universal Styling creme because it reminds me of my youth with Catherine in Ottawa when she introduced me to a hair straightener and a whole new world of products. Seems silly, but it’s one of my favourite memories and has helped Aveda to become one of my favourite brands.
I’ve recently learnt about Aveda’s #EarthMonth initiative and how they are helping to change the world and I simply had to share in my excitement of joining in.

With Earth Month around the corner in April, many of us will be reigniting a passion to try and help the world be a better place. Be it by reducing our footprint on the planet or by giving back. Aveda has certainly got me inspired to make a difference with the DoTheDaniel.com team around the world.
” Aveda Canada celebrates the ten year anniversary of a partnership with WaterAid and commitment to the global need for clean water. Over the last decade, Aveda has contributed over $38 million to WaterAid projects, with Aveda Canada raising over $3.5 million through annual Earth Month initiatives.
Aveda Canada celebrates this milestone with the launch of a 3-year Madagascar Project, donating all proceeds raised to WaterAid clean water projects in Madagascar. Consumers are invited to participate in this April’s Earth Month cross-Canada fundraising initiatives, Appointments for Clean Water and Walk for Water, both on April 25, 2016.”
So how can we get involved with Aveda? There’s a few ways really.
Walk for Water: At 9 a.m. in 14 cities across Canada, join the Aveda Canada team in a walk for water. The 6 kilometre distance is symbolic of the average journey millions of people take daily to collect water in Madagascar. To register, visit: collegaearthmonth.com/register.
Appointments for Clean Water: Taking place in Aveda-partner salons across Canada, Aveda Canada will donate all regular service fees paid on April, 25, 2016 directly to WaterAid.
