HEY TORONTO! Do you have plans this weekend? Regardless, I have the perfect event to add to your calendar. Through this Thursday to Sunday, Toronto’s Festival of Beer will be at Bandshell Park, at the Exhibition place. Why should this be added to your weekend excursions? Well here’s a few reasons:
You Can Try Beer From 100 Different Vendors
Do you love trying new IPAs around the city? Personally, that’s actually one of my favourite things about Toronto. There are so many different breweries with hundreds of unique beers to try, but I find that there are so many different ones spread around the city that I will just never be able to try them all. Well, here’s some good news – there will be plenty of different beer vendors, not just from within Toronto, but worldwide, all in one place! In total, that’s approximately 416 different beers to try – so there’s something to please everyone’s taste buds.
You Can Eat All The Food
Obviously beer is just that much better to indulge in when accompanied by some mouth-watering food. There will be TONS of food to choose from – whether you’re craving something a little greasier like South St. Burger or Smokes Poutinerie, or something a little more gourmet like Ono Poke Bar or Oyster Bar, they have it! This is just to name a few. Why not try it all?
You Can Check Out Top Notch Artists
The Festival is bringing in some of the biggest and best artists from a variety of genres, to go perfectly with your food, drink, and friends! Although Friday and Saturday are sold out, there are still tickets available for Thursday featuring Canada’s own Broken Social Scene, and Sunday with I Mother Earth, and Finger Eleven! Personally, I will be kicking off my weekend on Thursday with Broken Social Scene, which is one of my favourite live shows.
You Can Have Plenty of time
I know what you’re thinking – how am I realistically supposed to sample THAT many beers? Well, you probably won’t be able to try them all, but with their hours being from 5pm-11pm on Thursday, it gives you plenty of time to sample and pace yourself with all of the amazing and unique beer and food.
