May 5th marks Cinco de Mayo and around the world, people are preparing themselves for celebrations. A day that embodies the pride of Mexico, and particularly the Battle of Puebla being won, it is a day everyone looks forward to. Not many things remind me more of Mexico than Tequila, good food and a good time. This year, we here at DoTheDaniel.com (in conjunction with Julio’s birthday which also falls on May 5th!) will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Casamigos Tequila. Famously associated with George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, this incredible tequila is one you simply have to have at your celebrations!

Take a look at one of my favourite cocktails I will be creating for Cinco de Mayo below with Casamigos tequila and the recipe it inspired me to create.
The #DoTheDaniel Dusk to Dawn Margarita
1 oz Casamigos Tequila
.05 oz Campari
1.5 oz Jax Coco Coconut Water
2.0 Fresh Orange Juice
1 fresh lime
1 tbsp raw cane sugar
In a blender over ice, combine Casamigos Tequila, Jax Coco Coconut Water, Orange Juice, sugar and the juice of the lime. Blend to desired consistency, adding ice to taste for a thicker Margarita. Serve in chilled rocks glass and carefully pour Campari into the centre of the glass to achieve desired red base to the cocktail. Add a straw and you’re ready for the best Cinco de Mayo yet!
