Alright, let’s be honest. It’s almost October and 2020 has been more than challenging for all of us. That being said, I try to find the silver lining in life’s more difficult moments. It has been a chance to be reminded about the importance of mental health, self-care, communication in relationships, and honesty. So today I thought I’d share why it’s important, amid all of the things you’re juggling right now, to sometimes escape and hit that proverbial reset button.
Many of you know by now that I am a proponent of the food and hospitality industry, especially during the current pandemic. An industry I worked in off and on for over fifteen years – including up until September of this year – I will always do my best to support the people and places that need help.
While I work on myself, my well-being inside (and out), I know that buying from my local restaurants or booking a staycation in light of not traveling this month is a perfect way that I can help. Plus, I’ll be honest, sometimes I just need a change of scenery from our home. A moment to have something romantic with Julio. Or to take Canela, pack an overnight bag, and just breathe a sigh of relief.
Well, that’s exactly what the plan is this weekend.
You’ll remember that Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto is a destination I’ve share in depth on the blog before – click here to read more – so when Julio and I thought about how we wanted to start off the month of October I got excited at the chance to enjoy a staycation literally steps away from some of Toronto’s most iconic destinations and attractions.
“Stay, play and explore one of Canada’s most vibrant cities at vibrant Delta Hotels Toronto. You’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay in our premium accommodations, which boast waterfront and downtown Toronto views – as well as key essentials like complimentary Wi-Fi. Extend your visit in our pet-friendly long stay suites, which offer fully equipped kitchens. Work out in our modern, 24/7 fitness facility or relax in our heated indoor pool. Those planning to host a business meeting or special celebration in Toronto can choose from over 21,000 square feet of inspiring spaces, for everything from seminars to Bar Mitzvahs to vow renewals. Let our specialists take care of the details, ensuring a seamless event. Sample our hotel’s popular food and beverage outlets, including one of the area’s premium whiskey bars. Interested in exploring? Metro Toronto Convention Centre is on our doorstep, while downtown attractions such as the CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada are in easy reach for all to enjoy.”
While the hotel has made the necessary changes to welcome our little family safely this weekend, it by no means hinders the experience of staying at one of our favourite hotels in Toronto. For years I (and former members of the team) have taken you along with us to hotels from coast-to-coast and around the world. This is set to be another example of how to (safely) enjoy a staycation or visit in Toronto with a beautiful hotel, delicious food and amenities to help you also escape even if just for a night.
I know that if you’re need of a getaway and some pampering, or some romance and change of scenery, I highly recommend you check out the offers available to you at Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto by clicking here.
