About two week ago, the Ottawa based DoTheDaniel team got the news that we’d been invited to the Governor General Performing Arts Awards! At first I thought, “WOO HOO!”, and literally the next second was.. “What am I going to wear?!”. After a momentary panic, I instantly thought of Le Chateau! I know both, Daniel and Julio have been styled by Le Chateau for a few events in the past, which meant it’s Fashionights approved, and I knew there’d be a great selection.
I have to admit, it’s been a LONG time since I’ve had a reason to get dressed up, but I am a girl after all, so I was very excited! Catherine and I set up a day and headed to the Le Chateau location with the largest selection, Rideau Center. Being a voluptuous woman, I had headed to their website to see what I might encounter, and I was pleased to see so many options in a variety of sizes! With sizes ranging from XXS-XXL there will be something for almost everyone!
As soon as we arrived in store, we immediately went to the evening wear section and started picking dresses left and right. We quickly filled up our change room, and went to work with trying them all on. With Le Chateau launching The Wedding Boutique in store, there were lots of options.
Once we nailed down our dresses, we headed over to find jewellery, shoes and clutches to finish off our looks. I have to admit, I’m not an avid heel wearer, but seeing all the beautiful shoes I was thrilled to see which ones would work best.
We did happen to spend an abundance of time in store, but I am so happy with how it all turned out, and I can’t wait to show you all! A special thank you goes out to Catherine, manager of the Rideau Center location, for her patience and kindness in helping us carefully select the pieces that would work best. And of course, a huge thank you to Le Chateau for our beautiful outfits. We can’t wait to share them with you during this year’s #GGAwards all night long!
