I’ve always wanted to witness or participate in a flash mob. There’s something so powerful about a group of people getting together to surprise the public – and in my mind I’ll break out into choreographed dancing. Add that to my To Do List for 2016! For those of you who were recently at the Toronto Christmas Market, you will have seen have Koodo helped to share a random act of kindness with the talented Choir! Choir! Choir!. Take a look at the video and #ChooseHappy with us this holiday season.
“Breaking into song, 80 talented singers surprised Toronto Christmas Market visitors in the heart of the Distillery District. Inspiring random acts of happiness throughout the holidays, The Cure’s Robert Smith provided song rights in lieu of a donation. Koodo passed it on, donating the song fee to Choir! Choir! Choir! to help in its efforts to sponsor a Syrian refugee family.”
When Robert Smith of the Cure heard about what Koodo had in store, he was also inspired. When he watched the sample video, he loved it so much he told the team at Koodo to donate the licensing fee to charity. With Choir! Choir! Choir!, a donation was made towards sponsoring a Syrian refugee family. Hopefully this random act of happiness will inspire others to do good over the holidays because I know it has done that for us.
