A Whole New Generation Of Beauty

I laugh at the title of this blog post because I am in fact much older than people think I am. At thirty-five, I love that I am (sometimes*) mistaken for being in my late twenties. There is something quite motivating in the compliments I receive about my skin and the confidence that it allows me, especially as someone who spends so much time in front of the camera. There is never going to be one beauty secret or product that works for everyone in the country, but I can tell you that the new line of beauty products I was introduced to earlier this year is a HUGE step in the right direction for my beauty habits at home.

New releases from Clarins Canada always get me excited. Over the course of the #DoTheDaniel journey they have really come to compliment who we are. Be it with innovations in the beauty world that have quite literally changed the way I see (and use) products in my own home, to exciting events that we have taken you BTS to, I not only love sharing them professionally with you all but also using them in my day-to-day.

So what is the new revelation and new generation of beauty?

While the new line of products is targeted to a demographic of 18-30 year olds, it’s more the message behind the products that have me inspired. Vegan-friendly formulas, free of phthalates, parabens and sulfates. It speaks to the education of the industry that naturally sourced products can work just as well as their chemical counterparts, if not better.

The Four R’s of Beauty in the new line of products include RE-MOVE, RE-FRESH, RE-CHARGE & RE-BOOST. The products are beautifully packaged – which let’s be honest is just as important these days – and try to take the complicated out of beauty habits. As someone who doesn’t want to take two hours to get ready for bed, I feel as though I can trust these products to bring out the best qualities in my skin.


One of the biggest lessons I can offer as someone who has tried a LOT of beauty products and treatments over the years is to invest in yourself. Don’t just settle for a product that is on sale and switch around every few weeks. Find beauty in both the patterns you create for your skin, and the outcome of a consistent and healthy skin habit.
