Pride Month 2021 is officially here and lately I’ve been leaning into things a little more than when I was living in Toronto. Whether that’s telling the people I love what they mean to me more regularly, or finding the balance between working what seems to be two full time jobs to financially have our kids, I am feeling like my life is evolving more naturally. Like now that I’ve made some big changes and started to believe in myself again, that I can trust my instincts a little more. So I guess this latest partnership and glow up only made sense – plus, I haven’t felt this good in a long time.

The month of May is coming to a close, and with it there seems to be electric energy in the air. It’s 10pm on a random Tuesday in May and I am left feeling a mixture of nostalgia, loneliness and restlessness all wrapped up in one. It’s been a few weeks since I last saw my husband or my dog, and while I am learning to make new patterns for this portion of our journey to having kids, it doesn’t make any of “this” any easier. I could have been wildly financially ahead of where I am had I made better choices in my youth. I could have had a “better body” had I focused more on the vanity that conventional beauty demands.
I could have this, and should have that, but in the end it turns out, life had other plans.
