Maybe it’s the pandemic, or maybe I’m finally realizing my worth in this world now that I’ve had the time to work on myself, but my summer 2020 vibes are a big f*cking mood if I’m being honest. I want to rid myself of things that weigh me down and fill the warmer months with laughter, love and lots of good memories. Because there is still beauty and kindness in the world, you just have to be safer when seeking those moments out.
So how am I focusing on myself and the things that make me happy? With the little things. I’m not here preaching a new diet, workout or regime because I don’t think right now anyone is in the right headspace for monumental changes. Rather, why not try little changes.
I am all about gardening right now. Even something as simple as growing a seed in a small tera cotta pot made my heart full this year. Look at where that led on the rooftop garden – it’s like Jumanji up there!
Music has been an amazing outlet as well. Whether I need a good cry along the new album from The Chicks, or I’m dancing around in the sun to the latest Latin Pop chart topping single, it’s important to remember each day is gonna be different.
And of course, let’s not forget the ability to unwind with your thoughts or someone special after a busy day working. Thankfully I’ve already tried and have fallen in love with a few new ready to drink beverage options and I wanted to share them with you so that you can enjoy responsibly this summer too.
Bud Light recently launched their latest flavour variant, Strawberry Lemonade, and it’s been SO sought after the brand can’t keep it on shelves across Canada. Now you know I’m a sucker for the Bud family of beers with so many memories over the years and I’m sure more to come, but this is literally summer in a can.
If you’re more of a wine person, might I suggest The Fat Jewish’s brand new canned wine bevy – BABE Wine? Yes, you read that right. THE The Fat Jewish is in the wine game now and all I can say is that this empire is #Goals. Plus you won’t feel bad when you’ve responsibly crushed three cans at the cottage with friends and find it that’s equal to a bottle…. ?
This summer, we are all going to do the things we love a bit differently. And enjoying a beverage responsibly is included in that.
