A Truly Canadian Christmas

For those of you who follow along on our #DoTheDaniel adventures on our Instagram stories (and if you don’t – what are you waiting for?! We have loads of fun over there!) you’ll have seen that I was recently invited to Canadian Tire’s Christmas House party. With seven rooms devoted to seven CANVAS colours: red, gold, silver, blue, white, brights and serene rose (my personal favourite) it was like stepping inside Christmas itself. With garlands and tinsel and sparkles (oh my!) I was lucky enough to view their entire Holiday line-up. I was able to get ideas for my wishlist to Santa started nice and early, but I also came to realize that Canadian Tire is incredibly versatile when it comes to helping us create beautiful memories for the holidays and beautiful spaces in our homes. Above and beyond the ribbon and wrapping, there were several furniture items I now need to see if Santa can fit in his sleigh for me!

Small changes to make a big impact

So it’s August and my head is spinning with everything we have going on. From festival season to expansions around the world, it’s important for me to remember to focus on my family and what we want. As I’m sure you’ve seen, Julio & I are currently on the hunt for a new home in Toronto. While we look at spaces around the city, I also need to make my moving to-do list. And yes, I’m already thinking about wall colours for possible nurseries! Thankfully this year we were introduced to Canadian made Premier paint Collection from Canadian Tire. The best ways to create classic Canadian memories

By now you should all be feeling the #Canada150 love. It seems as though at every turn, there is a reason to celebrate our beautiful country and all of the exciting events we are partnering with. When it comes to creating my very own Canadian memories, there are always a few brands that come to mind almost immediately. Canadian Tire recently asked Julio & I to host an event centered around their CANVAS line of products and I was so inspired by the experience that I wanted to share some of my favourite items to help you create your very own memories in the most Canadian way possible this summer.

Contest | Be your best with the NEW Philips OneBlade

I like to believe that I am a good looking man and that I present myself with confidence and kindness to the world. That being said, just like the lovely ladies in my life, being my best does take a little bit of work behind the scenes. There has always been something incredibly romantic about the act of shaving in my mind. From the moment when my dad used to let me watch him use his plug in Philips shaver, to when he taught me to use shaving cream and a manual razor. There is a sense of pride that can be found when a man takes the time to make himself look polished for himself and the world.
