Here’s to strong women – may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them! If you’re looking to celebrate International Women’s Day this year on March 8th for International Women’s Day, then look no further. If you live in Toronto, you’re likely inundated on the daily with events, festivals and shows going on all around the city. I actually find it quite tough to pick between what to hit or what to miss. But, I always know that if there’s an event at or hosted by The Drake, it’s one I wanna be at hands-down. So, that’s why I thought I would share a bit about some of the upcoming events that will be celebrating all things women this month!
Why I Started Gaming Again
In 1992, I was 9 years old. I remember living in a basement apartment with my mother in the west end of Ottawa. I had this friend, who lived in one of the buildings next door, who had a computer and something called a “Super Nintendo Entertainment System.” This was some fancy stuff right here. And for the record, yes there were actually a lot of people who didn’t have a computer at their house back then. And I was one of them.
Not Your Average Festival
I love words that are so descriptive and visual that they immediately stimulate all your senses, like: “Devour” verb [dih-vou-uhr]: to swallow or eat up hungrily, voraciously or ravenously. Definitely one of my favourite words, cause I try and live life with a passion for all experiences.
Because Clearly You Need More Reasons to Pamper Yourself
Raise your hand if you’re in need of some freakin’ relaxation! Okay, I can’t really see you raising your hand, but I’m gonna assume that you’re doing it anyways. Because, who doesn’t love some good old fashioned down-time combined with serious self-care! Amirite? Whether it be chilling at home with Netflix, meditating, hanging out with friends, or heading to the spa – no matter what you decide to do in order to maximize your downtime, you’ve just gotta do you, folks.
