Never Forget The Importance of Rest

My 2022 has certainly not been a dull one. With lots of changes, both personally and professionally, I found myself burnt out and running on empty proverbially more times than I would like to admit over the past six-ish months. Going into Pride Month feeling very much on my own and disappointed by many people, I knew that I had to be the one to change the direction things were going – and it’s why amid the busiest month of my calendar year as a content creator, I booked us a weekend away. My lesson I am sharing in all this? NEVER forget the importance of rest.

Here’s All The Reasons You Need

Pride Month is in full swing and with it some FABULOUS events are taking place. While all of you are still processing the announcement of my new drag persona Anna a Hole Smith, I guess it’s important to note that I’m by no means booking gigs any time soon. I know I really try to lean into the light and fun things about life. I love to make you smile with my content and share in the things that bring me joy. That being said, I am a human being (despite what some haters might say) and I do have feelings on both sides of the spectrum. I’m allowed to be sad, and sometimes even be angry. I know that the world has a lot of changing still to do, but this Pride month has proven to be quite challenging (and triggering) for me. The Best Kept Secret REVEALED – How to Enjoy Pride Month in Ottawa

Wait a minute.. didn’t I just write something similar about Toronto? Why yes, I absolutely did and you can click here to read it as well depending on which city you’re celebrating in. Being that I am in between both for work and to spend time with my husband while we do the long distance thing, it only made sense to give Ottawa the attention it so deserves now that I’m back.
