By now you’ve probably heard Julio or I talking about our upcoming trip to the west coast for our wedding anniversary. This trip has become a tradition for us and one that I look forward to all year long. Whether it’s the distance from our day-to-day lives (and stress) or the energy that only the West coast is able to offer us, this helps us reset and refocus every time we visit. Here’s The Real Reason Why We Go To Vancouver

Just a little more than a year ago, Julio and I were getting ready for our first trip to Vancouver together. Thinking back on lockdowns, vaccines, public health restrictions and everything that happened in between then and now, it feels like it’s been five or six years. As we inch our way towards our sixth wedding anniversary, I’m excited to share that we will be headed back to the west coast of Canada. Instead of a list of places and things to do, I thought I’d give you a heartfelt blog post about why the west coast is so special and even share the real reason why we go to Vancouver to celebrate whenever we can.

The BFF Getaway You Didn’t Realize You Needed

As I sit down to write this blog post, I have to admit that I not am not okay with how little Catherine and I see each other these day. The pandemic and physical distancing recommendations haven’t helped in that, but with us living so far away from one another, gone are the days of seeing my best friend every day. I guess for many of us, that’s kind of just “life” these days and as we get older. So when I do get to see her, I want to ensure that it’s the most amazing time I can make it. Which is why I was so excited to plan a quick little getaway to Niagara Falls for some food, some wine, and lots of laughter together.
