The Gift I’m Giving Myself

While I may be one of the few people excited for the winter snow, I know that most of us are excited about other aspects of the holidays. Be it decorating the tree nice and early, to planning those special memories with the members of your household or bubble. 2020 may be different than we wanted it to be, but it can also be amazing if you make the right decision this holiday season. So, let’s talk about the gift that I’m giving myself and how you can do the same.

Over the course of all things COVID-19, I’ve really tried to assert how important it is to support local and Canadian businesses. Now more than ever our dollars, although tighter than normal, matter when it comes to purchases for holiday gifts, meals and memories. So while I support local wineries, I also need to remember to support local food.

I was introduced to Elle Cuisine many years ago in the events that I attended for the blog. Over the years Chef Lauren Mozer (click here to read a recent feature in Toronto Life) and I became friends. And most recently, she saved my butt on Thanksgiving by coming to the rescue with her incredible food when mine was no longer an option.

SO why am I talking about Elle Cuisine, an events company, for the holidays you ask? Recently Lauren and her team – like many Canadian businesses – had to pivot to adjust to the new world we live in. Events are, and will be, on hold for a while. But there was no stopping this incredible entrepreneur from ensuring her delicious food and experiences could be enjoyed by those of us who need something special in their life.

And while boxed food experiences aren’t new to 2020, I trust Elle Cuisine with my holiday season. If you know me, I do not recommend anything to you I don’t personally believe in. So what’s the MARKET MENU all about? Making memories more beautiful this holiday season with boxed experiences from my trusted source of memorable food experiences.

1) PARTY BOXES:  from individual cheese & charcuterie boxes to holiday donut boxes, we’ve got COVID-friendly options for intimate gatherings & virtual events.

2) EXPERIENCE BOXES: wine pairings, cocktail and canapes kits, a Mexican Fiesta, or a full Holiday Feast are just a few of our many “experience boxes”.  Reach out for more info!

3). VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES: Looking to add an activity element to your virtual event?  Chef Lauren Mozer hosts incredible virtual cooking classes of all types for all skill levels.  Not interested in cooking?  No problem – we’ve got Sommeliers on hand for wine tasting experiences and mixologists available for booking a mixology class!

4). MICRO EVENTS:  Going back to our roots, we pride ourselves on being the best at planning and executing small intimate affairs.  Connect with our team today to gain more info on how you can safely host during these confusing times.  We have limited availability this season and encourage you to reach out well in advance!
