With my birthday around the corner yet again, I find myself getting all in my feels. Not for any particular reason, but because it’s a time of year that allows me the chance to think about what I have accomplished and the lessons I have learned. Inching my way closer and closer to forty, I am proud of every step of my journey that has led me to where I am today. And thankfully I have also had the chance to mark memorable moments along the way in the best way I know how.
It’s not shock that when I love a store, restaurant or brand, I stay loyal to them as a customer. I guess the same can be said when it comes to tattoos. Over the years I’ve made some pretty big decisions with on Black Line Studio when it comes to my body, each of them making a memory last forever. And if I may be so bold, making me more beautiful.
I don’t know exactly what set me on the path to getting a head tattoo. Some might think about the incredible chest piece (pictured above) that took over 16 hours, I might have had my fill of tattoos. But I loved the idea of once again using the rose motif that reminds me of my late father to keep my goals and dreams on my mind.
Literally, figuratively, emotionally and spiritually.
So that’s what I did. I worked with the team at Black Line Studio, this time with Yas. I told her where I wanted it placed, what I hoped for and we came up with the following design.
