While the summer might not be exactly the one we were hoping for, now more than ever with a little bit of due diligence, there are incredible experience to be had right here in Ontario. Earlier this summer I shared our “Bubble Buddies” and how grateful we are to have them in the safety of our COVID-19 bubble. So this weekend, with a lot of planning and research thanks to the team at Niagara Falls Tourism, I am sharing my must see & do items that we have planned so that you can recreate it with your family and bubble this summer too!
Earlier this year I shared how excited I was to enjoy Niagara Falls from home – click here – and it’s finally come time to do it in real life. And I’m taking you along with me all weekend long via social media!
You’ll probably have, or are close to having, your own friends and bubble. While some are a bit more adventurous than others – whether you’re traveling safely with them or on your own – Niagara Falls is a Canadian icon and is ready for an amazing experience. Here’s my quick list ahead of our weekend where you can follow along with us on our adventures wearing fabulous masks and practicing social distancing rules.
First off, why not start your weekend off on a high? We’ve booked and experience with Niagara Helicopter Tour which quite literally will take me to new heights. It’s been years since I was last in a helicopter, and being that this is the first vacation outside of the city, it only felt right to start it off in the most epic of ways.
Experience the ride of a lifetime as you take in breathtaking views of the Niagara River, parks, Whirlpool Rapids, city, and the magnificent Niagara Falls. Get your camera ready!
With many beautiful destinations to stay on your summer getaway with your bubble buddies, we opted for the magic of Sheraton on the Falls. It’s not surprise that I love the Sheraton family of hotels – click here – the hotel is excited to be welcoming guests in a whole new way during the current climate of tourism.
Did I mention it’s supposed to be really hot and the above rooftop pool is calling my name? Cause, yeah. ?
So what to do while you’re in Niagara Falls? OMG there’s so much to do! From Journey Behind the Falls to Table Rock Centre, White Water Walk to Whirlpool Aero Car, Niagara Parks is a must for those of you like us who enjoy being outside and active. And how could you not in the summer!
Because Niagara Falls is so walkable, a lot of the main attractions we’ve signed up for are so close there’s no excuse to not enjoy them. If things are a bit too far, of course there are Snap E-Bike Rentals makes for a magical day exploring one of the most beautiful parts of Ontario.

Of course would it be a trip to #ExploreNiagara without food, and yes, wine. We’ll be taking our group to enjoy one of a kind experiences at Queen Victoria Place Restaurant now that they’ve launched their stunning new patio. And of course a visit to Niagara Distillery is a must on a summer’s day or for a night cap. If you love Mediterranean food, Kasbah Mediterranean is a must on your next visit. And oh – brunch lovers need to enjoy Brunch at the Old Stone Inn. Two words. Bottomless Mimosas.
and of course don’t miss the nightly Falls Illumination!
Let’s not forget those attractions that are perfect for the whole family. Or four friends having a day full of laughter and good times. A Clifton Hill Fun Pass is the perfect way to enjoy a day full of incredible memories!
“Multi-attraction passes will be provided when you check into the hotel.
Fun Pass includes 1 admission to each attraction: Niagara SkyWheel, Movieland Wax Museum, and Dino Adventure Golf (outdoor) OR Wizard’s Golf (indoor) Also includes separate tickets for the Niagara Speedway
Nicknamed the “Street of Fun”, Clifton Hill has something for everyone from the young to the young at heart.”
The Skylon Tower Observation Deck is a beautiful way to enjoy the views and the awe of the region any time of day. “775 Feet, 52 Seconds to the Top The Skylon Tower features three signature Yellow Bug elevators that take our guests straight to the top in less than a minute. Once the ride to the top is over, it’s time to experience the Falls in a way you were meant to experience it. Open until midnight. “
ALSO, I’m always going to do a zipline if there is one, so that’s exactly how we are ending our trip with WildPlay Zipline to the Falls. “On four
parallel ziplines that face the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls,
riders dangle from a precarious 67 metre (220 foot) high vantage point.
Our fully-guided experience adds thrill to the breathtaking panorama as
gravity floats riders 670 metres (2,200 feet), at speeds of 70+ kph (40+
mph), along the edge the vast Niagara river gorge to the Falls observation
landing.” – and I’m bringing you along for the ride!
While there is much more to see and do in Niagara Falls, I ensure you that this list will make every member of your bubble buddies happy. Stay tuned when I get back as I share some of the best wineries and wines you can enjoy too!
