This Year, Let’s Dish

I can’t believe that it’s already March and that the spring is around the corner. As I gear up my wardrobe alongside my new healthy habits (click here to read more about those) I am also doing things that I love for myself again. Be it writing this book and working towards a tight deadline, or taking classes again because I have always loved learning, I am feeling rejuvenated and more like myself than I have in a very long time.

Over the course of the last five years, we have attended events around the world. Here in Toronto, it’s been fascinating to watch which venues I identify with most and subsequently visit on my free time. Dish Cooking Studio, located at 587 College Street in the heart of Toronto, is probably one of my favourite spots to be. Not only have we attended some pretty spectacular events (see below) with some amazing brands, but I have started attending cooking classes during my free time. I have really come to realize that I can always brush up on my skills, and it is also a way for me to learn to cook different cuisine at home for those I love.

This is a perfect date night idea, a fun girls night, or even something to attend solo to make new friends like I have been doing. The class schedule is accommodating and you can check it and book on the Dish Cooking Studio website with just a few clicks.

For those of you who are curious, the dishes above we all learned to cook and got to enjoy them after all our hard work. They were DELICIOUS and included:

Creamy Roasted Cauliflower + Wild Mushroom Soup (Vegetarian & Vegan!)

Warm French Lentil + Baby New Potato Salad, Roasted Squash, Quick Pickled Shallot, Crispy Prosciutto + Sherry Vinaigrette

Creamy Tarragon Chicken, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes + Haricot Vert

What I love most is how approachable it is. I’ve been to cooking studios around the city and some of them are pretty intimidating. The team at Dish Cooking Studio help make me feel comfortable and lead the attendees of each class with a fun and encouraging energy that is infectious. I always end of laughing – and did I mention that you get to eat everything you make at the end? It’s my new favourite pass time in 2019 and I encourage those of you who live in or visiting Toronto to book a class to see what I mean for yourselves.

For those who you who might need a bit more inspiration before you book a class, I encourage you to follow @DishCookingStudio on Instagram and ‘Like’ their Facebook Page. For foodies and first timers, this is one experience that I can basically guarantee you will love based on my experiences. It’s why I can’t wait to book more classes for myself and continue my love of food, cooking and learning in 2019!
