Events | The Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation are saying #YouAreWelcome to enjoy the Pan Am Games!

It is no shock that the Pan Am Games are creating buzz both in the city of Toronto and across the country. The coming together of so many countries and cultures is something to be celebrated. It is why I am so excited to tell you that I have partnered with The Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation to help share their addition to the festivities. Not only do we have something delicious in store for you, but it will also help to celebrate the culture and heritage of Toronto during the games starting on Friday July 10th!

“What’s everybody’s favourite part of learning another culture? The food! Experiencing authentic Ojibway cuisine has never been easier thanks to our incredible new food truck. It’s a delicious combination of tradition and trend. Our street teams will be handing out free $5 food truck gift cards all around Toronto. Keep your eyes peeled and your taste buds ready.”

Food Truck culture is alive and well in the city of Toronto and will be celebrated in such an incredible way with the authentic Ojibway dishes available to fans across the city. But it’s not just about Food!

As the official Host First Nation of the Pan Am Games, The Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation are beyond excited to showcase their history, heritage and culture. With food, music, collectible gift cards designed by First Nation artist Tracey Anthony and so much more to look forward to, this is an absolute must for us all to celebrate what it means to be Canadian!

“The Mississaugas of the New Credit will be distributing 25,000 gift cards, specially designed by renowned First Nation artist Tracey Anthony. The You Are Welcome team will be handing out these limited edition, $5 gift cards across the GTA, which will also be available online and in select stores. Be sure to visit the #YouAreWelcome food truck and redeem your gift card for a sample of delicious Aboriginal cuisine.”
