I laughed as I wrote the title of this post. “Technically” I am French Canadian, having been born in Montréal. But Toronto is now home, and I identify as a #Torontonian. My family, business, friends, and life all center around the city I call home. So as I arrived to the office this morning, I decided to share a few of my time saving tips for the morning commute that help get me where I need to be faster. Since, let’s be honest, we are all always in a rush to be somewhere.
Living in the west end of the city, commuting to our office at SPACES can be challenging at times. The streetcar in Toronto has a certain romanticism for me since I am not a native, but it can be a bit crazy during rush hour. I try to always check the schedule to avoid waiting too long in the morning, especially in the colder months. Not to mention that as we get settled into the new house over the month of January, I’m going to have an entire new commute to learn and navigate. So what do I do to help make it a little easier?
First of all, I ensure to have a good book loaded on my Audible.ca account on my phone – Reading can be cumbersome in tight scenarios such as a subway, bus or streetcar. Click here to see Lesli’s Top 5 Books to download if you need help navigating the amazing library.
So now that I have something to occupy my attention, a schedule to keep me on track, it’s time to think about what to eat. I’m not sure if you realize, but Starbucks Canada has an app that allows you to order in advance. I can mobile order my iced quad venti, blonde espresso, light ice latte. And of course the new #SousVideEggBites are pretty delicious. Catherine & I have enjoyed them almost every day this week since they launched at your local Starbucks on January 9th.
It’s the little things that can make the biggest difference. Share your love and opinion with us by following and tagging @StarbucksCanada on Twitter & Instagram, and ‘Like’ Their Facebook Page. Make sure to follow and use the #SousVideEggBites & #CoffeeLove hashtags to show us what you think of the new launch and how it has improved your mornings. I can’t wait to hear what you think!
