It’s been almost five years since I launched DoTheDaniel.com, and as the blog and it’s team have grown and evolved, I have been so proud to be a part of some pretty monumental moments and experiences. When all is said and done at the end of the day, it is the work with charitable organizations around the world that I am most proud of. As both a successful business and the face of it, I believe it is my responsibility to share moments and topics that need your help alongside all the excitement. Since day one, I have been such a huge fan of the work SickKids– and now that it is time to build a new SickKids, I need you to join me and your crew to help us change the lives of countless Canadian children.
I never want to upset you when I sit down to write a blog post. But there are some topics that are hard to talk about, and although they make me incredible emotional, I know the importance is getting the message out there. Having not only worked with SickKids over the years for blog and social media content to spread their message, but also visiting the hospital on numerous occasions, it is never easy to walk into those doors.
But I am always proud to share in the fight to help them. I put my emotions aside and I gladly pledge all my efforts to help them achieve and surpass their goals. While we have donated to the hospital on several occasions over the years, I want to make this a priority to raise even more money in 2019. I still have to give that a good think, but I promise to find a way to make it happen. Those kids and their families deserve my best, and I hope that when you read this, you feel the same.
The latest campaign inspires me to be better. And to join my crew. Take a look below if you haven’t yet seen it and you’ll understand what I mean.

This year has shown the gathering of so many inspiring people – many of those in the campaign video above are familiar faces and I am so proud of them for being a part of this – and we are all united to make this new hospital and it’s fundraising goals happen. But we cannot do it without you. This year, we put the spotlight on SickKids donors. We need each and every one of you reading this to help us change the world for the better.
