One of my favourite parts about the summer is farmer’s markets in the city. Having lived in downtown Ottawa for so long in my twenties, being by the ByWard Market I’d pick up fresh produce almost daily. We of course in Toronto have St. Lawrence Market, but I don’t live close by and have to be mindful of social distancing rules right now.
Well ladies and gentlemen, there’s a new Farmers Market in town, and not only can you get your produce for a week, but you can also help give back at the same time by shopping at it!
Somersby Canada has launched an initiative that I couldn’t be more excited about. A way for Torontonians to get all our produce for the week and help provide good food access to Ontarians in need by taking part in our #SomersbyFarmersMarket
100% of the proceeds from this program will be donated to The Stop Community Food Centre, to help make sure those affected by COVID-19 will be provided with the good, nutritious food.
The Click & Collect Farmers’ Market by Somersby is a contactless shopping experience where you can pick up bags of 100% Ontario grown produce on a pay-what-you-can system. That means you decide how much you pay – and of course now is the time to give as much as we all can to communities that need it and us the most.
Head to the official website www.somersbyfarmersmarket.ca ?? to learn more about this initiative and place your order. Help share the message of supporting local farmers, cheersing to the summer with Canada’s favourite cider, and giving back to Canadian families that need it most.
I encourage all of you using the service to share it online so that more people can take advantage of the opportunity. Follow @somersbycanada on Instagram and Twitter – as well as like their Facebook page. Use the #SomersbyFarmersMarket to tell the world about this amazing new concept and help us help families in need.
For more behind the scenes of this and other amazing brands I’m working with around the world, make sure to follow along with the #DoTheDaniel Instagram account. I’d love to have you join on the adventures.
